My puppy is dry heaving and coughing but acts normal. Kennel cough?

Currently own a nine (9) week old German Shorthaired Pointer. We've had him for a week, he has had all of his initial vaccines. Hee has been dry heaving two to three times a night for about 5 minutes each. Yesterday he started during the day, last night he did it persistently throughout the night; five or six times. Other than when he's dry heaving, he is acting completely normal, has an appetite, drinks water, plays, etc... Pet's info: Dog | German Shorthaired Pointer | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 8 days old | 15 lbs

Sounds like he may have kennel cough but without examining him myself I really can't say for sure. I suggest you video tape the behavior and take him to the vet for an exam. Show them the video in case he doesn't do the behavior during the exam.
