My cat is licking a wet spot and has a circular wound. What's wrong?

Hi, I noticed my cat licking where the hair was wet and when I parted the hair I noticed a circular wound about half an inch across. It's not bleeding and I'm not sure when it happened. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 12 lbs

Hello, I'd recommend having Bouncer seen by his veterinarian. I'm concerned that the wound could be an abscess, which is a local collection of pus, or ringworm, which is a fungal infection that can be spread to people.
