How many FeLV vaccine rounds do cats need? Age, doses, boosters?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I did not know 3 rounds of FeLv were needed for cats! At what age do I start this vaccine? And how far apart are the next 2 doses given? Are there more needed after the initial 3?

Sorry, I mistyped! FeLV needs two rounds, like rabies, but it can be started as early as 8 weeks of age, with the second being given four weeks after the first. Yes, a yearly booster is needed, given one year after the last vaccine was administered.
