My rabbit Bugsy has a whisker that has folded in half and looks like it could be re entering his cheek?

Hello. It does look like the whisker has doubled back. Can you separate the whisker & give a gentle tug? Usually when a whisker doubles back into the skin it may cause a bit of skin irritation so if this is not bothering Bugsy I would not be too concerned. It may just be an normal abnormality for him, but if one end does "pop" out, just trim it back at the bend. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
