My cat took too much Meropitant but seems fine. ER vet needed?

Question

My cat was prescribed Meropitant 24mg for nausea due to nausea/vomiting from Clavamox. I accidentally gave him the full 24mg pill instead of 12mg. Should I take him to be seen at an ER vet? He is acting normal and eating. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 13 lbs

Finn will be ok, you don't to take him into the vet. Studies have shown that it was well tolerated by cats at even 10 times the recommended dose, and adverse side effects were not seen. I hope this helps!
