My dog is vomiting and won't eat after neuter surgery, what's wrong?

My dog was neutered on Wednesday and as of Saturday evening he started to throw up and cant keep anything down. He has not eaten anything he wasn't supposed to. He gags when you try to give him any type of food including rice and can only keep a little water down. Pet's info: Dog | Plott | Male | neutered | 8 months and 22 days old | 50 lbs

Poor pup! If he's vomiting, not eating, and isn't able to keep anything down, this is very concerning - so I would recommend taking him back in to your veterinarian today to be seen. It's possible that this could be some type of complication related to his neuter surgery, or could be a totally separate problem. Your veterinarian can examine him and may recommend blood work, x-rays, or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and see what kind of treatment is needed.
