Why is my dog's eye red, draining clear fluid, and bothering her?

Hi my Maltese/terrier right eye has been draining clear fluids excessively for the past week. It's a little red and I've noticed at times she's rubbing it. No yellow or green mucous coming from it. What can I do to treat it at home? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

Unfortunately this cannot be treated at home. Any eye problem has to be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Plus Loren has been rubbing at it, which means it's bothering her, and she could have scratched her cornea doing this. Her eye needs to be examined to make sure nothing has been damaged. Please take her into a vet in the morning.
