Is surgery safe for an 18-year-old cat with painful kidney stones?

My cat has a kidney stone and I can tell she is hurting. she is now 18 yrs old ...do you feel too old to have surgery?

Sorry that your cat is having this problem. That is a decision you will need to make with the help of a vet that knows your cats entire medical history. It is difficult to give advice without knowing her entire history and evaluating recent lab work and diagnostic test to get an idea of her general health. I am sure your vet would be happy to discuss the risks and benefits of any type of surgery and help you decide the best plan for her.
