How to tell if my cat is a boy or a girl after a month?

Unsure the gender of my cat. Been keep the kitty for more than a month now, and we have been treating him/her like a boy. But im actually very not sure if he is actually a girl!

It's hard to say for certain from the pictures, but I think this kitty may be a girl. At a couple months old, you should be able to feel testicles within the scrotum which is under the slit for a penis/vulva. If you can't gently feel testicles, then it's most likely a female, or possibly a male whose testicles did not descend.

    Based on the picture, I would suspect that Kittu is a male since it appears that he has a penis and what I suspect are 2 testicles above that (closer to his tail). Male cats normally keep their penis inside the prepuce, so it is not normally visible. I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Can you help me determine if my kitten is a boy or girl? Is there a charge for this chat service?
Thank you for submitting your question regarding your kitten. Based on your picture, I suspect the kitten is a boy. It is difficult to tell though at such a small size. See if you can feel testicle between the anus and the urinary opening. There is the ability to start a consultation with a veterinarian as well and there is an associated fee. It is a great way to get more questions at once though! I hope this information helps!

If there is a round hole below his anus, he is a boy. If there is a little slit below the anus, it is a girl. The distance between the vulva and the anus in the female cat is relatively small, in a tom it is up to about an inch (in an adult). If you are not sure about the gender, you can always ask your vet the next time you take the kitty for vaccinations or an exam. You should take the cat for an exam shortly after getting it from the humane society , just to make sure he or she is healthy.

Oh man. Sexing kittens is really, really hard! Until they are older, it could go either way. My own cat stumped the vets when I was in school, so she is now named Stan! If you post a picture, we can take a stab at it.

She's cute. She looks to be around 4-5 months of age, but you should weigh her. Her weight in months +1 is usually how we guess kittens ages. You should look at this photo to determine if this kitten is male or female. So I got a kitten and we don't know her age. I'd like to know if there's a way to know the age and at what age can I know their sexe. Thanks in advance!
The general rule of thumb is about 1 month of age for each pound of weight. This is not accurate in all cases though. Baby teeth, incisors and canines (fangs), erupt at about 3-4 weeks of age. If Lucy has all her baby teeth, she is at least 6 weeks old. You should be able to determine sex right away. This is how: Lift the tail. Right under the tail is the anus. Below that is another opening which is round in males and a vertical slit in females. Also, the distance between the anus and genital opening is greater in males. A physical exam by your vet can confirm gender. You can also post a clear picture of the back end in a new question and we can let you know.
