Hi I just got a parakeet he is slightly bobbing his tail I know this is a symptom of a respiratory infection but I'm wondering if it could just be stress since I just brought him home today his poop seems to be normal he has not eaten yet but like I said I just brought him home

Thanks for reaching out about Flint. Typically stress can cause rapid breathing but does not result in tail bobbing. Tail bobbing is due to difficulty breathing as in a large abdominal organ (liver, spleen), abdominal fluid or other problem. If continues, a veterinary visit is recommended. Good luck.
