Is it normal for my cat to keep bringing her one-week-old kittens?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 9 months old

My cat Cleo has been giving me her kittens for the last three days and won't stop. She will lay them in bed with me and let me pet them. The problem is they turned a week old yesterday. They are to young but she doesn't care. Is that normal?

It is ok that she is bringing them to you. They often move them to keep the safe and protect them. As long as she lays with them to keep them warm and fed it is fine. I would however take them off the bed and keep them on level ground because they can migrate and crawl and we do not want them falling off. They can begin to be weaned between 4-6 weeks of age
