Why are there bleeding growths and blisters around my dog's mouth?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 85 lbs

Our rescued Lab (about 3years old) has growths around one side of mouth and I found blister like growths on other side of his mouth after I noticed blood on my blouse where he’d placed his head. I’m thinking they are the same (but newer) growths as the other side.

This is probably a bacterial infection, in many cases this is due to the water bowl, you need to switch the water bowls to stainless steel bowls and you must change the water several times a day. the condition will need to be treated with an antibiotic course, you will need to take Alex to the vet ASAP in order to get it treated.
