Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 8 months old | 70 lbs

my dog has been bleeding from his penis for about 2 weeks now. I took him to the vet, they said it was a injury due to mounting. 2 stiches and 10 days later, my Dog is still bleeding. I'm worried about my him. Should he still be bleeding? Should I try and find a 24hr vet or could i wait till monday?

No your dog should not be still bleeding. Check your dog's gums. If they are very light pink or white you need to tale Tek to an emergency vet. If his gums are pink, you can wait until the morning to take him to your vet.
