My dog has watery diarrhea and won't eat. What home remedies help?

My pet stools are very watery as in like water. But the color is normal color She still joyful but when it comes in eating she dont eat than usual. she eats very small amount of her dog food. What is it? and please what should I do. Is there any over the counter or home remedy can I give to her? Thanks.

It sounds like Hershey is suffering from diarrhea, and in young puppies, that can commonly be caused by intestinal worms. Make sure she is up to date on her deworming treatments, giving her one if she is not. She should be dewormed again in two weeks to kill all the worms in her intestines, then monthly until she is six months of age. After that, she should be dewormed every three months. I can also give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps her. Withhold food for 8 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she refuses to eat the bland diet, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. The diarrhea could be caused by any number of things; intestinal parasites, a bacterial infection, even being constipated will sometimes manifest as diarrhea because liquid feces is all that will get by the impacted fecal material. It could be as simple as a dietary indiscretion, meaning she might have gotten into the trash and eaten something that didn't agree with her. Try taking away all food, treats included, for 24 hours. S/he can still have water. This will give the gut a chance to rest. After the 24 hours are up, introduce just a small amount of normal food. Wait a little while and give a little more. Keep doing this until s/he has had her normal amount for the morning. However, if s/he continues to have loose stool, or starts vomiting, loses her appetite, acts lethargic, and/or develops a fever, get her in to be seen by your vet right away as this could indicate a more serious problem.

Hello Rosie has had frequent bms today I would say around 6 yesterday she had about 3 she is drinking and eating normally I’m just concerned I plan on fasting her for 24 hours but I wanted a further opinion

What are some of the ways I can do to relieve dog's diarrhea?
If there is no obvious cause of your dog’s diarrhea (like eating something he should not have) and he is not vomiting and eating normally, I would recommend feeding him a bland diet, like plain boiled chicken and rice, for the next 24 hours. If the diarrhea does not resolve within 2 days or you dog is vomiting or there is any blood in the stool you should take her to the vet as soon as possible.

Poor Kayla! I will give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps her, and if it doesn't help, then I would take her to the vet. Just make sure she drinks plenty of water, and you can add some warm water or low sodium chicken broth to the bland diet I'm going to give you to get more moisture in her. I hope this helps! What can I do for a viral infection in my dog. She's had it before doing the same thing. Diarrhea every 2 hrs.
Diarrhea is a common problem with dogs and is usually self-limiting (will go away on its own). It may not appear to be serious right now, but it's always possible that it could be the start of something serious. If Jessi has any of the following, then she should see a vet: 1) Blood in diarrhea 2) Very watery diarrhea 3) Starts acting very depressed 4) Stops eating or drinking for longer than 24 hours. 5) Diarrhea lasts longer than three days. You can help her get through this by feeding bland food (boneless chicken and rice is good). Feed small portions (1/2 cup or less) three times a day. You can also add probiotics to the food (can get this at the pet store), which has demonstrated some efficacy for improving diarrhea. Ensure fresh, clean water is always available. If your pet is otherwise feeling fine, eating, drinking and urinating, try taking away all food, treats included, for 24 hours. She can still have water. This will give the gut a chance to rest. After the 24 hours are up, introduce just a tiny amount of normal food. Wait an hour and give a little more. Keep doing this until she has had her normal amount for the morning. However, if she continues to have loose stool, or starts vomiting, loses her appetite, acts lethargic, and/or develops a fever, get her in to be seen by your vet right away as this could indicate a more serious problem.
