My dog hasn't eaten her food in days and is barely drinking water...she also has the shakes and not having a regular bowl.movement...this has been going on for at least 3 days...what could be wrong. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 20 lbs

There could be a number of reasons why Princess isn't eating, drinking, shaking, and not having regular bowel movements. I see that she isn't spayed, and the first thing that comes to my mind is a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. It could also be she got into something rotten or toxic, or could have a foreign body. Her symptoms are very serious, and it's concerning this has been ongoing for three days. I would consider this a medical emergency, especially with the risk of her having a pyometra. She needs veterinary care now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
