My Yorkie is throwing up dark liquid. What home remedies can I try?

I’m very concerned. My yorkie just threw this up but my husband mentioned he threw up a little of this color and food this morning in the kitchen. I’m not sure what this is. It’s not blood and I’m confused on what my husband and daughter are describing on seeing the Yorkie’s vomit this morning. This is liquid and not chunks of food. Please advise. Our yorkie is almost 3 years old. Happy guy. No other symptoms. Bring pink gums. Thank you!

Poor Skipper! The color of his vomit looks dark, and it could be due to his dog food that has been broken down in the stomach but not yet fully digested. If he eats his poop, which many dogs do, the color could also be due to that. Given that he has no other symptoms, I'm comfortable giving you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. This is the second day my dog throws up clear up and today she has done it up to 3 times. I’m not sure why she has just taken her heart worm medication yesterday in the afternoon. Is there anything I can do at home ?
It could be the Skye has a stomach illness. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. If he is not vomiting you can continue the chicken and rice and add a canine probiotic to the food. However I strongly recommend you take him to the vet since it has been going on for so many days and it is getting the worse. The dark color may indicate digested blood. They can perform some test and prescribe medicine to help

Given that Prince is eating the same food, this vomiting could be due to the stress of living in a new home, or he could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten when you weren't looking, or could have a foreign body. You can try a home remedy first before having to take him into the vet. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. Hi, sorry to hear Anakin is feeling sick. You can try to fast him for a while- take away food and water for about 8 hours to let him stomach settle. Then try a small amount of water. If he keeps that down, try boiled chicken and rice in small amounts. I don't know that the pepto will do much for his vomiting. If at any time during the 8 hour period he continues to vomit, he needs to see a vet. If he is very lethargic, not responding to you, or having trouble breathing he needs to go to the vet as soon as possible. There is no home treatment. He may need an x ray or some blood work to see what is wrong with him. Good luck I hope this helps!

Poppy sounds pretty bad off and if he had vomiting and now diarrhea, the time for home remedies has passed and he has to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
