Why does my dog yelp from a soft lump during hard bowel movements?

Question

Found round soft area , growth that doesn’t cause any discomfort to my dog, but when he has some harder bowel movements he will let out a yelp ??? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 11 months old | 25 lbs

This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign.
