Hi, today I felt a small, smooth and round, free-moving lump under my dog's skin on the right side of her face about an inch under her eye, on her "cheek". It's the size of a BB, maybe less. It seems quite firm, well-defined and easy to move around, almost like a tiny lymph node, it feels like it's not attached to anything. I checked inside her mouth to check if it's on the gum but it's not. It's under the skin of her face. No changes in appetite or behaviour. Any idea what this could be?

It probably is the lymph node. They are called buccal lymph nodes, but not all dogs have them. Often I see them increased during the spring when they are experiencing seasonal allergy symptoms, but I have had a few dogs present with them enlarged as an early sign of lymphoma. I would encourage you to have Olivia evaluated by your veterinarian soon just to make sure no other abnormalities are seen. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
