Updated On September 23rd, 2025

On Monday April 9 my 2 year old shih Tzu ate a little bit of nail acrylic powder, ( well I’m not sure if he ate some or just smelled it because his hair of the mouth were all red) I automatically clean his mouth (he did not have red on his tongue) he seems fine since then he does the restroom, no vomit, he eats normal he seems fine in general should I be worried? The powders below is something similar also most of the products was there so I don’t think he ate a lot of he did ate some ..

I would make sure he isn't breathing funny, coughing or sneezing. This could cause some irritation of the respiratory tract if inhaled. It could cause an upset stomach if ingested. Hopefully, he only got a very small amount and it won't cause any issues. I will attach the pet poison hotline below in case you start noticing any abnormal behaviors. I hope this helps! http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/
