What's wrong with my 7-month-old cat's back paws after adoption?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 lbs

My 7 month old cat was a stray and I adopted her from a shelter a week ago. I just noticed her back paws are like this, any idea what it could be?

Poor Girl! This could be an auto-immune disease or something called eosinophilic granuloma complex. You could try some balm called snout smoother on it to see if it makes a difference. If not, I would have your vet take a look as this could get worse if left untreated. Your vet make have to put her on some antibiotics or even some steroids to help it heal. I hope this helps!
