Is it safe to give my cat a flea tablet after a spot-on treatment?

Hi, I gave my cat a spot on flea treatment last night, and sprayed the house with flea spray. Would it still be safe to give her a flea tablet today for faster or extra protection, or would that be dangerous. She has flea alergy dermatitis so looking for the quickest treatment. Thanks! Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years and 5 months old | 9 lbs

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Eli is super cute! The soonest you can reapply the Spot On is 3 weeks. As for mixing drugs I would need to know what oral flea pill you want to give. Ideally if Eli is flea allergic she should get flea medications every month year round. Personally I see a lot of flea resistance with the Fipronil Spot On. I recommend Bravecto (topical), Comfortis (oral) or the Seresto collar for cats. I wish Eli a speedy recovery!
