My puppy has a pink circular spot on her belly. What should I do?

My puppy has developed a pinkish circular lesion a little above her abdomen. It doesn't have any significant pus discharge and the surrounding tissue is not swollen either. What should I do? Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 6 days old | 45 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I wold use an E-collar or T-shirt to prevent licking. If you are able to, shave the fur off the area. Clean it twice daily with mild soap and water, dry well and apply a triple antibiotic cream. If this doesn't resolve the area with in 7 days or it spreads or worsens I would have your Vet examine her. It looks to be a local skin infection. I hope this helps!
