Why is my dog lethargic, vomiting, drooling after vet visit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 11 months and 8 days old | 73 lbs

He has been extremely lethargic since Tuesday night.will not eat anything. Drinks water but will vomit it up if he drinks to much. No fever. Has lost 6 lbs. Had diarrhea Wednesday and now no bowel movement. Went to the vet Thursday morning and he gave him a shot for nausea. Began with a c and it stung when administered. There has been no improvement and he seems more lethargic and has started drooling.

The injection is called Cerenia, if this didn't help then you must take him back to the vet for a blood test and xray/ulrasound, he might be suffering from either a foreign body in the GI tract or severe gastrointestinal infection.
