Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed
my dogs friend died about half a year ago and since last month she started digging out his corpse and bringing it infront of our house. whenever she does that we try to take him somewhere else yet she always brings him. we did the same thing over and over again until last time she got him. we buried him much further, and this time she only got his head, the thing that is concerning me the most is that this time she's trying to eat it. Can you tell me why she's doing this and how I can stop her?

I doubt Nymeria is digging up the bones because this dog was a friend of hers. It is more like a treasure trove of old bones. Dogs normally like to bury bones and when they have been buried "long enough" they dig them up again and gnaw on them. You will only stop this by removing the bones altogether or bury them at least three feet deep. You will need to keep your dog from accessing the area where they are buried, or she will try to uncover them again.
