My dog is restless after giving birth, is it normal or side effect?

My vet give me the calcium tablet for my mom dog after give birth to 3 days old pup. But she seems very restless and keep walking around leaving her pups. She also eat a little but she drink a lot. Os ot normal or it just the side effect of the meddicine that was given by the vet. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 3 months old

This could be due to fever or pain and I recommend a recheck by your vet as soon as possible. Low calcium levels can cause agitation and tremors but would be unlikely so soon after birth especially when you have started calcium already
