My cat has a 103.3 fever, low energy, and won't eat. Is it an emergency?

Hello, I just took my cat’s temperature and it’s 103.3. He is a 10 yr old male, up to date on shots. He was fine yesterday, but today I noticed low energy and lack of appetite. Is this temperature considered an emergency?

The temperature itself isn’t an emergency, but it is definitely a fever. If he goes outdoors I would start feeling all over for an abscess from a fight. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon, but as long as there are no other clinical signs such as difficulty breathing etc then I think having him seen by your veterinarian tomorrow is appropriate. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
