My dog's nose is bleeding & she has a mouth bump. Is it cancer?

Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Female | 8 years and 5 months old | 22 lbs

My dog is 8 yrs old she is a cocker spaniel and she has been ill with discharge coming from her nose sometimes with blood in it . She is on her second week of antibiotics . She is eating/drinking with a little discomfort I have also noticed a soft bump in the roof of her mouth not sure if it's always been there do you think she has cancer ? I'm really worried

I am sorry that she is having this problem and I am sure you are worried. Nasal discharge with blood can be a sign of infection, cancer, or possibly a bleeding disorder. If the antibiotics do no resolve the problem then your vet will need to do some diagnostic tests to help determine the cause. Your vet can run blood-work, take nasal x-rays, and/or rhinoscopy to see if a diagnosis can be found. I wish I could tell you the cause but am not able to without more information from tests. The bump on the roof of her mouth may not be related but you should monitor it and have your vet take a look at it. Try not to worry as it could definitely just be an infection.
