Why is my puppy inactive and not standing after her second vaccine?

Puppy's getting sleepy after their shots is a normal reaction to vaccinations. They can also have a low grade fever and/or one bout of vomiting/diarrhea normally that are no cause for concern. The concern arises when your pet is severely lethargic, not eating, non-responsive, pale gums, or excessive vomiting/diarrhea. If you notice any of these symptoms then it is best to take puppy to a vet asap for immediate care, because a mores serious vaccine reaction is occurring at that point.

That could be completely normal especially after vaccination. I would recommend to ask your vet not to give worming tablet and vaccine at the same time and or change vaccination brand (same kind of vaccine, just different company). if the signs are transient and last less than 24 hours, I would not be worried about it at all. It could be a reaction to the vaccines. You should call your vet and give him/her an update so your vet knows she had a possible reaction. If she was given multiple vaccines, your vet may want to separate the vaccines next visit. If the abnormal signs last for more than 24 hours then she should be examined by your vet for treatment. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! If they lady that gave the vaccines gave them within the last 24 hours, that can definitely cause a kitten to be more tired or sore than usual. Also, coming into a new home/environment is also stressful and causes some new pets to sleep more. If the kitten isn't more active by morning, or isn't eating or drinking or having vomiting or diarrhea, I would take her to see a vet. I would also recommend updating their vaccine in about 1 week- Tractor supply vaccines are not guaranteed and your kittens may not be protected. Good luck and congrats on the new babies!

Poor little Kitana! Pets can vomit for many reasons and it could have been related to the vaccines. If she is ill beyond 24 hours, then I recommend to have her seen by her veterinarian. I recommend to call her veterinarian and let them know what you saw at home. The doctor may want to administer diphenhydramine prior to her next round of vaccines just in case it was a vaccine reaction. Keep Kitana quiet today and monitor her closely. Boots is so cute!!! He's had a pretty stressful day with going to the vet, getting an exam, and getting vaccines. You can see the kitten being very tired and not eating as much after all of this. He should be back to normal within 24 hours, so I wound't be too concerned just yet. This is not a normal reaction to a vaccine. However, I would be concerned there is also something else going on since it's been several days between vaccine and reaction. Due to the symptoms you mentioned, it would be best to bring Kronos to a veterinarian right away for care.
