My dog is squinting and holding her eyes shut. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Blue Lacy | Female | spayed | 60 lbs

My dog cannot stop squinting and holding her eyes shut her extra lids on both eyes are very much visible.. she is still playful but there is no hiding that her eyes are bothering her.. she just seems to want to keep them shut

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If Lacey is squinting and not wanting to open them very much, they are likely bothering her and causing pain and discomfort. Dry eye, and eye infection, glaucoma and other ocular diseases can all cause eye discomfort. I would recommend Lacey see her primary care veterinarian for an eye exam soon to have these possibilities ruled out. Thanks again for your post!
