Best way to pad train a new puppy with an older dog already home?

How do I bring a new puppy home and per pad train . I have a 8 yr old shih Tzu at home already. She's also a small shih Tzu and is pre pad trained since we got her

Congratulations on your new puppy! Approach potty pad training just as you would if she was going outside. Take her to the potty pad frequently (first thing in the morning, after meals, after naps and every 2-3 hours on top of those time). Give her a command such as "Go potty!" Then lots of praise and a small treat as soon as she goes. Clean up accidents with a carpet cleaner marketed for animal odor. If you catch her going, scoop her up and carry her to the potty pad.
