Why is my Poodle anxious, breathless, and heart racing at night?

Dear Doc, I STATE IN DUBAI. i have 8 year old Poodle named MAX and he looks very feet and healthy, beside, recently Max during the night comes to my bed showing anxiety and breathlessness, so i touch the heart area and my feeling was the heart beating very fast. I try to cool him down by wet clothe and i spent 1 hour at list before he go back sleep. He stay with as on same room so it his under AC if it is to hot! can you please advice me what can be! regards, Carmelo. Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Male | 7 years and 5 months old | 40 lbs

Please get Max checked by a vet as soon as possible and #i recommend taking a video of the behavior with you so your vet can fully assess what you are seeing. Night cough/breathlessness can be associated with heart disease and this should be ruled out as soon as possible
