Pet's info: Dog | Shiba Inu | Female | spayed | 11 months and 13 days old | 20 lbs
My shiba inu recently developed a rash right above her right eye. It is slightly pink, raised, and follows the curve of her eye like an eyebrow.

This could be a beginning outbreak of a demodex mite infection. Usually dogs with Demodicosis have it from birth, however a healthy dog can fight it to the point where it does not cause symptoms. If the dog then happens to be a bit ill, or if the immune system is challenged, the demodex mites multiply and typically cause skin signs around the eyes, face and nose. You should have this examined by a vet . It is relatively easy to get rid of demodex nowadays (an off-license use of Bravecto usually kills them permanently), but it is also necessary to find the underlying condition that caused the mites to proliferate.
