Hi, my dog just had stenotic nares surgery last Thursday, they used a laser. I have not put anything on his nose, however it looks odd (photo provided). Is this normal? Should I do anything? He's on antibiotics as his tonsils were inflamed when they did the surgery Aventi Clav 250mg 1 tab twice a day.

It looks like he is developed some crusting from discharge at the surgical site. I Don’t see signs of infection in the picture, but I would still recommend a follow up appointment with your veterinarian as an examination can detect many things that a picture can’t. In the meantime I would encourage you to use a warm water wash cloth to compress the area and soak off some of the debris. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
