My baby African Grey has clear nose fluid & fast breathing. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered | 2 months old | 1lb

Hello, I got a baby Congo African Grey bird a week ago. It hatched in Feb. It is active and eats well when I hand-feed it. Tonight I noticed a clear fluid in it's nose, it isn't draining out, it's just there. He also seems to be breathing a little fast, and his tail moves with each breath. I've hand-fed a lot of babies, and have never seen this before. Should I be concerned and take to a vet?

An exam with your veterinarian or an experience avian vet would be recommended. The combination of symptoms may indicate developing respiratory infection, aspiration pneumonia or other infection. At the very least, Kito will get a clean bill of health and you will get peace of mind.
