Why is my kitten's eye removal site sensitive and infected again?

Why is the place where my kittens (6 mo) eye was removed approximately 3 months ago due to infection is now sensitive and producing infection. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Male | neutered | 5 months and 8 days old | 5 lbs

It would be best to culture this discharge to determine which would be the best antibiotic to treat it and proceed with therapy. In some cases, a revision surgery may be needed.
