Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While you could administer probiotics in theory, I prefer to stay away from anything that is not part of the diet or medications while patients are recovering from pancreatitis. Perhaps wait for Meagan to be recovered from her episode of pancreatitis and then you may start her on probiotics. Good luck!

I would rather not give it, unless really needed :for example if having profuse diarrhoea. It also depends on how bad the pancreatitis is. However, in the beginning, dogs tend to just receive antisickness medications, pain relief and intravenous fluids and after a couple of days they can be started on a bland diet and probiotics are sometimes introduced at vet’s discretion . Hope this helps !
