Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 2 months and 6 days old | 9 lbs
My labrador is 64 days old weighing 4 kg 200 gms, and i feed royal canin maxi starter twice daily - quantity 3/8 , and 20gm rice with chicken stew twice daily. I have done deworming and the first vaccination, but i don't understand why he is losing weight and getting skinny. Please help

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! 3/8 of a cup twice daily for a growing labrador sounds a little under the calories he should be getting daily. He should be consuming closer to 2 cups of the royal canin maxi food daily. Chicken stew and rice are not good sources of nutrients for a growing dog and should not replace eating his regular puppy food and should be discontinued. Just feeding more of his puppy food will help him grow and put on healthy weight. Thanks again for posting!
