My 5-month-old kitten threw up after treats but seems fine. Why?

My 5 month old kitten suddenly threw up today. She was whining for her treats which I gave to her after which she vomitted. After that she continued to play. She drank some water and took a poop aswell. Is this just because maybe she over ate? I am attaching a picture of the vomitted material.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Cuddles! Sometimes cats just vomit. If she is eating, drinking, playing and doesn't continue to vomit I wouldn't worry too much. It could have been from a hair ball, the treat upset her, she was full or from excitement. I would avoid that treat for a while. Be sure she has been dewormed well, has had her stool tested and is up to date on vaccines. I hope this helps!
