My puppy bites our older dog. Is it teething? How do I stop it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 7 months and 7 days old | 46 lbs

How do I correct her for biting/ chewing our older 3 year old Siberian Husky? He is a push over and let’s her but we want her to stop jumping on him and biting his face or his feet. Thank you. We have been cracking down on this and seems to happen less often but happens daily. Mainly they snuggle and playfight. Is she teething again? She did this before when she was teething. Seeming to be growing more molars in the back.

Using spray bottles filled with water or a loud noise such as coins in an empty can can be used to deter this behavior. Sienna could have more teeth coming in but this is likely just a behavioral issue due to her being a puppy. Many times this behavior subsides after growing into adulthood but some breeds may exhibit this behavior most of their life. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
