When can my tick-treated rescue dog safely join my other dogs?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 23 lbs

I rescued a dog with ticks and have him on frontline. My 3 other dogs do not have ticks and I have kept them separated. When can I bring them together?

Make sure your dogs are up to date on Frontline as well so they cannot get ticks. The Frontline should act pretty quickly to kill all the ticks, and I would do a thorough check over Na's body to make sure the ticks are all gone. If he has no more ticks on him and your dogs are up to date on their flea and tick medication, it's fine to bring them together. I hope this helps!
