Is 10mg Cetirizine 3 times daily safe for my pug's allergies?

Hi I've got Cetrizine hydrochloride 10mg tablets for my 9.6kg pug for seasonal allergies. I've been told to give a 10mg tablet 3 times a day but it seems that other sources say 20mg is the max amount to be given. What is correct ?! Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 9 months old | 18 lbs

The dose appears appropriate, but the frequency is more than normally recommended. This is usually a once or twice a day medication. I recommend rechecking the dose frequency with your veterinarian before giving it more than twice (12 hours apart) a day. If a vet has not prescribed this medication, then I don't recommend giving it until you have consulted with Layla's vet. I hope that helps and all is well with Layla.
