Cat drooling after gingivitis treatment and antibiotics. Is it normal?

My cat Gage was drooling, and a visit to the vet revealed gingivitis. He has his teeth cleaned, and did a 7 day round of antibiotics. Now (about 3 days after finishing his meds) he is drooling again. Is this normal? I never asked if the drooling would go away immediately, and it seemed that it did, until now. Thanks! Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 6 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs

There may still be inflammation in his mouth causing the drooling. I'd give it a few more days to see if the drooling improves. If not please take him in for a recheck to make sure the gingivitis has improved. He may need additional antibiotics or anti-inflammatory medication.
