My 9 week old puppy was on the lead running with me round the garden then it suddenly gave a high-pitched squeal for about 15 seconds. What could of happened to it. Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | 2 months and 6 days old

There are many possible things which could have startled Gail such as standing on a thorn or twisting and spraining the leg. If lameness persists she should be assessed by a vet but I would continue to rest and monitor her for the next few hours to see if it resolves
