How long until my neutered cat's stud tail bald spot hair grows back?

Hi we have a male 2 yr old cat , who has stud tail he has recently been neutered however he has a built patch on his tail due to stud tail. Will this hair grow back ? If so how long will it take ? Thank you for your assistance Lizzie. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 3 months old

Generally stud tail will resolve over 3-4months as the hair cycle grows and new hairs develop but in some cases it can take much longer. A skin support diet or natural omega fatty acid supplement can help; topical creams such as comfrey, aloe vera or calendula can be useful but should be applied sparingly as cats are inclined to groom and ingest creams
