Adopted dog and puppy. What shots do they need if history unknown?

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Female | unspayed

we adopted two dogs recently, one was a rescue she is a small breed dog about 4-5 years old female and a 5 month old puppy, I am not certain at all on their shots or what they have or have not had so where do I begin to get both of them up to par on their shots so i can get them licensed and registed?? Please help!!!!

Thank you for submitting your question. The core vaccines for all dogs typically include the distemper-parvo combination, rabies and bordetella. Depending on your location and lifestyle, leptospirosis and influenza may be recommended as well. Without knowing prior vaccination history, some vaccines will require a booster in 3-4 weeks. It is wise to have fecal testing and deworming performed in newly acquired pets. They should be started on heartworm prevention as well as a flea and tick preventive. I hope this information helps!
