My dog's eye came out, I put it back, it's red. Is it an emergency?

My pets eye was coming out of the socket and I helped my mom by putting a video of a vet helping another dog and we pushed it back with the right materials and now its eye is really red what happened?

I'm very concerned that Bruno's eye was coming out of its socket, and the red color could be due to the initial cause of the eye coming out or from you pushing it back in. This can be caused by trauma, a head injury, or a shallow eye socket. He has to see a vet immediately for this problem even though you have pushed the eye back in, which I would never recommend doing yourself again. This would have been very painful for him, and you may have accidentally done damage to the eye, socket, and tissue, which as I said could be the reason why the eye is so red now. This is not a procedure that is ever recommended for owners to do, expect in extreme circumstances such as being hours away from a vet, no water or saline available, you and the dog are stranded, etc. In addition, there is a chance he could lose his sight from this prolapse, and his vision needs to be evaluated right away. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck!

It may be possible, but he should be physically examined by your veterinarian, a veterinary ophthalmologist or at the nearest veterinary ER. If not, he may lose the eye. Place an e-collar (cone) on him until he sees the doctor.

Oh no, poor Bella! Unfortunately this can happen in certain breeds of dogs that have a shorter than normal muzzle. You need to get her into a vet right away for this. Any problem with the eye should be considered an emergency, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Her eye can be saved if you act quickly and get her into a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. My dog went missing Thursday evening about 8 p.m. he said back up yesterday about 3 p.m. with his right eye protruding from its socket and look like maybe he was hit or something I don't know but I don't know what to do what my options are please hel
I am so glad Buckshot came home. It is hard to tell what happened to him while he was away from home but that injury looks pretty serious and needs to be examined by a vet as soon as possible. He could have injured it a number of ways. The big concern, is if he was struck by a vehicle he may have further injuries that are not visible to you. An impact can cause serious internal injuries that may not cause immediate death or notable Illness to an untrained person but are serious nonetheless. Please, get Buckshot examined by a vet as soon as you can. Better safe than sorry. It’s too bad our dogs can’t tell us what they have been through. I hope everything is minor and he heals up quickly.

What do I need to do? I think she got stung. I'm not sure. Please help
The white part of the eye (sclera) is extremely red. It does not look like a sting, it looks like trauma. You need to get her to the vet ASAP or she may lose her eye. This is very painful and she needs assistance right away. Take her to your local ER vet clinic.

I just adopted him yesterday and I noticed he has a bump on his eyeball in the photo the red ball sticks out from his eye
This is very concerning, it could be an ulcer trying to rupture or a foreign body (something that shouldn’t be there. I would consider this a medical emergency and take him to an emergency vet clinic now for evaluation and treatment. After examination, they will probably need to do a few special tests on the eye to determine the best possible treatment.

His right eye is red with drainage. I noticed it Saturday around midnight when we got home from a parade and it's progressively getting worse throughout the day today and he keeps pawing at it. What could be going on? Tomorrow is Mardi Gras day down
He could have a severe eye infection, may have suffering trauma to his eye, or has allergies. You do need to take him into an ER vet immediately as any eye problem is considered an emergency. The eye is such a delicate and important structure, and leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. It's especially concerning that his eye is getting worse and he's pawing at it. He could scratch his eye, which can lead to further infection and an ulcer. I would take him into an ER vet right away to have his eye examined and diagnosed so he can be treated.

Oh dear! It sounds like Barrett may have injured his eye somehow. Without being able to examine him, it's hard to say how serious this is or what kind of treatment may be needed. Eye problems like this do need to be diagnosed and treated promptly, since there is a risk of permanent damage or vision loss with any delay in treatment - because of this, I would really recommend taking him to an emergency vet tonight to have this checked. If you call your regular vet's office, their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest emergency clinic, or a doctor on-call for emergencies.

I am so sorry this happened to your dog. The painful symptoms you are describing have me concerned that he may have a corneal ulcer/abrasion and/or an infection in that affected eye. It is very important to have it checked out by a veterinarian as quickly as possible so they can determine the severity of his condition. When there is a problem that is this painful to the eye, I always recommend to have him seen as quickly as possible. The more he rubs his eye, the worse it can get. If you have or can obtain an Ecollar to prevent him from rubbing it any more until he is seen that would be best. I would also recommend to not put any other solutions into the affected eye.

Dog's eye is red and drooping
Poor Benny! The redness and drooping of his eye could be due to an eye infection, injury to his eye, or allergies. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it is an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. If she was recently in for hemorrhagic diarrhea and is still not back to her regular self, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. The third eyelid being prominent could be indicative of some other systemic process going on or it may be an allergic reaction that needs medical attention. If you are able to get her seen as an emergency, I would recommend doing so to be on the safe side. Allergic reactions can become severe if left untreated.
