My cat shakes head, scratches ears. What's wrong? Can I use Petco ear drops?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed

Grazee my cat is a indoor cat and she shakes her head and ears and scratches them like they bother her. We took her to the veterinarian yesterday but forgot to tell him. She got a vaccine and check up be he didn't check her ears. What can it be with her ears, can I just use ear drops from Petco?

Hello. Please do not use any over the counter product in Grazee's ears until you have the ears looked at. You do not know if this is an infection, ear mites, or even some kind of allergic reaction to something. Using the wrong product can lead to a more prolonged problem that may even result in hearing loss from a ruptured eardrum. It is always best to know what you are dealing with so I hope you can have her seen soon. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
