My dog has a face rash that isn't painful. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 3 months old

My dog has a very unpleasing rash on her face, it doesn't seem to hurt her, she doesn't look in pain or scratch it. I don't know what it is and I don't how to help her or where to take her here in Houston Can you help me know what this is and what I should do to help her?

Hello. We do need to do some diagnostics to at least rule out some causes or underlying reasons as to why this has occurred. There should be many veterinarians in Houston who can at least take a preliminary look at Vella's face, then if she needs any advanced care, you may be referred to a specialist like a dermatologist. You can either use this site to find a veterinarian https://www.vetlocator.com/ or just type into your browser " veterinarians near 77083 ". I did a quick search & there are dozens within 10 miles of you. Good luck & thanks for using PetCoach.
