Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 7 months and 30 days old | 7 lbs
Hi, my 7 month old cat bites randomly for seemingly no reason. For example, last night she would jump onto our bed and bite my hands and face and legs hard and no matter what I did she wouldn't stop. Why does she do this and how can I get her to stop? Also, she will not stay off of the kitchen counter and it seems unsanitary and we're afraid she'll step on a hot stove. We've tried several things but none have worked. She has plenty of toys and things to climb so we dont know what to do next.

Is the biting related to petting? https://www.petcoach.co/article/petting-related-aggression-in-cats/ Or is it more aggressive play? If so, please post again describing the circumstances of when Bonnie bites. Make the countertops as unappealing as possible to her. This can be done with pieces of tin foil or a carpet runner (flip it so the grip points are facing up). The idea is that they don't like the texture. Do this until she learns countertops are not a fun place to hang out. Provide toys, a cat tower, a scratching post and other things that will be more fun. Many cats do get burnt on hot stoves, you may want to keep something like a tea kettle over any used burners (once they are turned off), to block Bonnie from stepping on them. You may also simply shut her in another room while cooking and let her out once everything is cooled down. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
