Why is my cat hiding, not eating, and won't walk or be touched?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Bobtail | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

Rosemary is normally a peppy cat. Tonight, she began hiding from me, not walking, and refusing to eat. She meows and whines whenever she is picked up.

It sounds as though Rosemary is in pain. It is difficult to say for sure where since I cannot examine her. If the problem persists and does not go away on its own, I would recommend having her examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
